Endearment

by Don Wells

Divine is your smile
and sweet is your gaze
I pray we're together
for all of our days

For all of my time
here on this earth
only your charms
gives my life worth

All the world's rubies,
emeralds and such
to me are worthless
compared to your touch

Even the stars,
set like diamonds above
will not endure
as long as our love
