Fathers Love

A father is the foundation
upon which children grow.
Whom they turn to in frustration
when they have taken a blow.

A father will always take pride
to wipe tears from the eye
of his sweet innocent child
who needs him when they cry.

A father may not show it in speech
but in his actions you can see.
Through his behaviour he will teach
how to behave accordingly.

A father will sacrifice his joy
to keep a smile on his child's face.
A true man will never destroy
the special bond they have in place.

A father will fight to protect,
his child from the dangers in life.
He is human and not perfect,
so please don't cause him too much strife.
