Forget Her
by Ellen Bailey
I cannot walk in her footsteps
I know she was your first love
But I do not harbor any regrets
I'll be true as the stars above
The way you sometimes look at me
Betrays your state of mind
Don't compare me to her memories
Just forget her and be mine
I know I cannot take her place
I cannot compete with a myth
But I'll be patient for your sake
And in time maybe you'll forget
